Suddenly everyone is spending a LOT more time together. That means having to find new ideas to keep the kids entertained, which can be hard. I’ve put together lots of children’s crafts and activity ideas to help inspire you. There are some activities that are more suited to younger children, some that are suitable for older children. I’ve tried to limit the amount of resources that you need to do these activities with the kids. Wherever possible the children’s crafts involve cheap or recycled materials. Most of the science experiments involve items you’ll already have around the house. That said, I do seem to have a permanent supply of bicarb and vinegar which helps! My main aim of all these children’s craft and activity ideas is to help you make the most of the time you spend with the kids, but without having to spend a fortune. You don’t need to be “crafty” for these, they’re all simple ideas. As you’ll see from the photos, I’m more enthusiastic than crafty!! If you’ve got older children then you might find that they can do some of these all by themselves, giving you precious free time to yourself!!

I really hope you find all of the ideas useful. I’m adding to this page all the time so make sure you keep checking back to see what’s going on. I also regularly share new ideas on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Don’t forget that there are hundreds of reviews of free and cheap family days out in Bucks, Beds, Oxon and Herts on the website. Again, these are all free or cheap. I’m always up for a bargain, so if there’s great value way of getting free entry then I’ll share that too. You can find all of the reviews by clicking here or check out the different categories on the home page.
