Christmas what’s on events guide – Bedfordshire

There are so many lovely Christmas events going on across Bedfordshire this year. I’ve put together this what’s on guide for Bedfordshire to share the best free and cheap family events with you. There are so many things to tell you about this year that I’ve launched the Free Time with the Kids Christmas page! Christmas events in Leighton Buzzard

The Leighton Buzzard Christmas festival weekend is from the 29th November to 1st December. There’s the light switch-on, gift and craft stalls, firework display, a Santa dash and a family fun day on the Sunday.

There will be various Christmas related special rides on the Leighton Buzzard railway in December. There’s Santa Specials, Santa after dark and Mince pie specials. Prices start at £4.50 per child and £7.50 per adult

Christmas events in Bedford

The Bedford Christmas Fair and Fireworks are on the 23rd and 24th November from 10:00 – 17:00. There’s lots of FREE entertainment and rides.

There’s a Christmas tree festival on the 4th – 8th December at St Paul’s Church from 10:00 – 17:00. Entry is £2.50 per adult, under 16’s FREE.

Christmas events in Luton / Dunstable

The Stockwood Discovery Centre has an illuminated trail every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening throughout December. Tickets are £4/£4.50 online or £5.50 each on the day. The walk-through lasts about 30 minutes and then there’s activities, treats and stalls to enjoy afterwards.

Dunstable Downs (reviewed here) isn’t doing a Christmas trail this year but they are running both Breakfast with Santa and festive afternoon teas at weekends in December. Breakfast is £7.95 per adult / £5.95 per child. Afternoon Tea is £13 per adult / £8 per child (AL).

You can still get cheap tickets for ZSL Whipsnade Zoo through this affiliate link. You can book tickets for any point up to late March including all school holidays. Depending on when you plan on visiting this is a massive saving vs standard online tickets.

Christmas events around Bedfordshire

There’s a Christmas Tree festival at the Forest of Marston Vale on the 7th December. FREE ENTRY. There will be stalls selling homemade gifts and crafts, live music, an Elf Trail, Santa’s Grotto, kids’ crafts and – of course – lots of Christmas Trees. Charges may apply for some activities.

Join Moggy Owl’s Saturday story club at Moggerhanger Park on the 7th December. There are under 4’s sessions (£4 per child) and 5+ sessions (£4.50 per child). Pre-booking required.

Save up to 52% on tickets to Jungle Jim’s Playland in Sandy using this affiliate link. Two children plus a meal is just £9.95 but there are one and three children options available as well.

The Woburn Sands Christmas Fayre is on the 24th November and 25th November from 13:00. There will be food stalls, rides, a raffle, band, stalls and Santa.
