I only found the playground at Longwick Village Hall by accident, and even then it was only because of the skate park. I’d spotted a neighbouring playground on google maps when I was looking for things to do one day, and then saw the skate park next to it. That made it pretty much a done deal for me. So I put the skate park into google maps and off we went. When we pulled into the car park I was VERY confused because the playground I was sat in front of wasn’t the one I’d been looking at. Turns out there are two within meters of each other!
Longwick Village Hall Playground
The playground at Longwick Village Hall isn’t particularly good and TBH it’s probably best suited for kids aged 4 – 10. There isn’t really much for younger kids although Smallest Child (6) was quite happy with it. It’s also unlikely to keep older kids entertained for long.
The best bit is probably this play frame and climbing frame;

The recreation ground
Longwick Village Hall playground also has a large recreation ground (which is also popular with dog walkers). There’s a really good zip line that we spent ages playing on, a multi-use sports court and an outdoors gym. It’s also home to Longwick Village Hall.
Longwick Skate Park
Longwick Skate Park isn’t a particularly big one (for that you need to go to Oxhey Activity Park) but it’s well maintained and does the job. There’s also seating nearby which is always handy.
When we visited the skate park and playground at Longwick Village Hall I was really surprised at how quite it was. It was a beautiful, sunny weekend day and I was expecting it to be heaving but there was no kids there at all! I have no idea why.

Our Longwick Village Hall Playground and Skate Park review
This is a nice little playground and skate park, but little is the operative word really. Everything here is well-maintained and there’s plenty of parking which is good. However it is “just” a small village playground and doesn’t have huge amounts of kit. If I’m honest I’d probably go to Towersey or Monk’s Risborough if you’re travelling which both have a lot more to do. That said it is next to a pub which is always useful…..

Whilst we were here we also went to the little playground area on Wickfields. You’re not far away from The Phoenix Trail and there’s a lovely walk around Whiteleaf Cross & Hill.
