Here’s a selection of the best free and cheap local fireworks displays in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire! All events and prices are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change. Events may be cancelled due to bad weather. Always double check with the venue before visiting.

One thing I have noticed is that several fireworks displays across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire have been cancelled, I’m assuming because of costs. Others have put their prices up, sometimes significantly. There’s still some bargains out there though. Also, even though we’re used to being cashless now, lots of them will be cash only on the night for food, drinks etc so make sure you take some pennies with you.
Buckinghamshire Fireworks Displays
Steeple Claydon Fireworks Display – Saturday 2nd November 2024 18:30 – 21:00. FREE but it’s a fundraising event from the bar, BBQ, glow sticks etc
Quainton Parish Council Bonfire & Fireworks Night – Saturday 2nd November 2024. 6pm on the Green. Entry wrist bands are now available to purchase from the Village Shop, these are £6 each with under-fives being free.
Buckingham Town Council are hosting a FREE fireworks display on Saturday 2nd November 2024 from 6 – 9pm at Bourton Meadow Park. Click here for all the details.
Naphill, Buckinghamshire Fireworks display. Saturday 2nd November 2024. 4:30pm to 8:15pm. Family ticket £30 (early bird ticket), £36 once those are gone. Note, no parking on-site. Tickets available via their website.
Reduced sound fireworks display at Thomley, Worminghall – 26th October 2024. 17:00 – 20:00. Tickets £26 per family.
Soulbury fireworks display – 2nd November 2024. 18:00. Free but donations welcome. Details available here.
Hamilton Academy fireworks – Friday 8th November, gates at 5pm. Adults £7, Children £5/£1.50 tickets available on the website here.
Gerrards Cross Magic at the Movies fireworks spectacular. Sunday 3rd November 2024. Gates 3.30pm, display 5.30pm. Family ticket £20.
Burnham fireworks 2024 – 2nd November. Gates 4pm. £5 per person, £18 per family.
Marlow Bottom Fireworks, back at the playing field, Saturday 2nd November 2024. Gate from 5.30pm, display from 7pm. Family ticket £22 in advance, higher on the door (if available).
Chalfont St Giles fireworks display, Sunday 3rd November 2024. 8pm. No indication on price yet but last yer it was £20 for a family ticket.
Great Missenden CofE school fireworks display – 9th November 2024. Ticket prices £23 per family until 23rd October, then £29.
Beaconsfield fireworks display, Saturday 2nd November. Gates 4pm. Two displays, including a quieter one at 5.50pm then the main one at 7.50pm. Family ticket £40 in advance. (£13.50 per person).
Blackpit Farm, just outside of Buckingham, 9th November 2024. Gates from 3pm. Bonfire from 6pm – 8pm. Adults £19.50. Child (5-17) £5. Under 5’s go FREE. Tickets must be pre-booked online.
Speen Fireworks, Saturday 2nd November 2024. Gates from 5.30. Daily ticket £25 (£35 from 1st November).
Amersham & Chiltern Rugby club fireworks will be on the 1st November 2024. Gates at 5.30pm. Family tickets £26 in advance , £30 on the door.
Fireworks @ Studley Green, near Stokenchurch – Friday 8th November 2024, 6.30pm, family ticket £20 (early bird), then £24 after the 20th October.
Stokenchurch Primary School fireworks display – Friday 1st November 2024. Gates 6pm, display 7pm. £9 per person.
Chesham fireworks display, Friday 1st November 2024. Gates 6pm, display from 7.30pm. Family ticket £30. Pre-book or pay on the night.
Long Crendon fireworks display. Saturday 9th November, gates 4.45pm, fireworks 6pm. Ticket prices TBC but last year they were – Adults £6, children £4.
Olney fireworks display. 3rd November 2024, gates 4.30pm, display 6.45pm. Single tickets cost £5, and family tickets (up to 2 adults and 3 children) £15
Stoke Poges fireworks display. 3rd November 2024, gates 4.30 pm, display 6pm. £20 per adult (over 12), £10 per child (2-12) + booking fees.
Highworth School, High Wycombe. Thursday 24th October. Gates 6pm, fireworks 7.30. Early bird family ticket £20.
Aylesbury Fireworks Displays
First Bierton Scouts, Bierton Recreation Ground fireworks display is usually a good one. It’s on Friday 8th November, £6 per adult, £3 per child (early bird prices). Gates at 7pm
Saturday 9th November 2024 – 4.30 – 6.30pm, display starts at 6pm. Green Ridge Primary School, Aylesbury. £6 per person. Tickets are available here.
Kingsbrook Firework Spectacular – Unfortunately they’ve not been able to find a suitable site for the fireworks this year!
Waddesdon Halloween disco – 26th October 2024. At the community centre on Frederick Street. Disco from 5pm. £5 per child. However this year there isn’t going to be a fireworks display.
Turnfurlong Junior School fireworks display in Aylesbury is very popular. 8th November, gates 5pm, display 7pm. £6.50 online, £10 on the door.
Milton Keynes Fireworks Display
Campbell Park hosts the biggest fireworks display in Milton Keynes however this year they’ve cancelled it for 2024 due to lack of funds.
Newport Pagnell fireworks – Friday 1st November 2024. Gates from 5pm, display 7.30. This year it is a ticket only event, probably because Campbell Park has been cancelled. Book your ticket here.
Swanbourne bonfire & fireworks, Buckinghamshire – Sunday 27th October 2024. BBQ from 3pm. Free, £10 donation to park. Details available here.
Ashley Green fireworks display – this is another one that looks like it isn’t going ahead this year / details haven’t been announced yet.
THAT firework spectacular, Bletchley. 10th November 2024. Gates 4pm, fireworks 6.30pm. £3 per adult, £2 per child. Parking, £10 per car.
Flackwell Heath Village bonfire & fireworks – 2nd November 2024, gates 5.30pm, event starts 6.30pm. Tickets £35.37 in advance including booking fee, under 5’s go free.
Holmer Green community fireworks, 2nd November 2024. 5pm gates, 7pm display. Family ticket, £33.
Holmer Green First School are holding a non-firework event on the 9th November, 4-6pm. There will be a bonfire, marshmallows, games and stalls. £1 per adult, kids go free. No website link I’m afraid.
Hertfordshire Fireworks Displays
Tring Festival of Fire, Saturday 2nd November 2024. Gates 7.15pm. Family ticket £28 (2A+3C). Parking at Tring School is very limited – £8. Plus booking fees.
Wiggington fireworks display, Saturday 2nd November 2024. Gates from 6pm, display from 7.30. Free entry. No pre-booking required.
Pixies Hill School, Hemel Hempstead, Sunday 3rd November 2024. Doors from 5pm. £5.50 per person in advance.
Watford Borough Council Fireworks Display at Cassiobury Park– 2nd November 2024. Fireworks from 7.30pm but activities from 6pm. FREE.
Berkhamsted Fireworks display – Saturday 2nd November 2024. Doors 6pm, display 7pm. Family ticket £25 in advance, 30 on the door.
St Albans fireworks display, Verulamium Park, Hertfordshire – Saturday 2nd November. Gates 6pm, display 7.30pm. Family ticket £28.50 (early bird) £40 on the door.
London Colney fireworks display, Hertfordshire – 3rd November 2024, gates 4pm, £3.20 each.
Meadow Park Fireworks Display, Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council – Sunday 5th November 2023. Gates 7pm, display 7.30. FREE.
Abbots Langley Fireworks Display, Hertfordshire. Friday 1st November 2024. Gates 7.30pm. FREE.
Hatfield fireworks display – I cannot see any details of the display this year. Let me know if you see anything.
Bedfordshire Fireworks Displays
The popular free fireworks display run by Dunstable Town Council has been banned forever. BUT Dunstable Town Cricket Club have stepped up instead. Sunday 3rd November 2024. Gates 5pm, display 6.30pm. Family ticket £15.
Houghton Regis fireworks, Bedfordshire – This is another one that either has been cancelled or not announced yet.
Barton Le Clay fireworks spectacular – Friday 1st November 2024, gates 6pm. Adults £9, children £5 (plus booking fee)
Ardley Hill Academy, Dunstable. Sunday 3rd November 2024. Gates 5pm, display 6pm. Family ticket £12 (2A+2C) or £14 (2A+3C) plus booking fee.
Scott Primary School fireworks display, Bedford. Thursday 7th November 2024. Gates 5.30, display 6.30. Family ticket £20 in advance, £23 on the gate.
Luton’s FREE fireworks display, Popes Meadow – Saturday 2nd November 2024. Gates 6.30, display 7.30. All the details can be found here.
Mead Open Farm in Bedfordshire will be hosting a family fireworks display on the 9th November 2024. 2pm – 8pm, display at 6.30pm. £18.50 per person. Pre-book online.
Oxfordshire Fireworks Displays
The Oxford Roundtable fireworks display is on the 2nd November 2024 at South Park. Gates 4.30pm, fireworks from 7.15pm. £10 per adult, £5 per child. Park & ride available. There will be no bonfire this year.
Marsh Baldon Fireworks Display, Oxfordshire – I don’t think it’s happening this year, but please let me know if it’s wrong.

Yarnton Fireworks Display, Oxfordshire – 16th November 2024. Gates from 5.30pm, display 7pm. Tickets £4.50 online, £5 on the gate.

Didcot fireworks spectacular, Sunday 3rd November 2024 – has now been cancelled
Ducklington Fairground & Fireworks, nr Witney – 26th October 2024 . Fair from 4pm, display from 7.30pm. £4 per child, £8.50 per adult in advance. £5/£10 on the door.
Abingdon fireworks display – the biggest fireworks display in Oxfordshire. 9th November 2024. Fairground from 3pm. Two displays (6pm & 7pm). £45 family ticket (2A+2C) or £60 on the gate – available online.
Henley-on-Thames spooktacular fireworks display – This has been cancelled and people are being directed to go to Abingdon instead.
Thame Fireworks display, Chinnor rugby club – Saturday 9th November 2024. Gates 2.30pm, display 6.30pm. Tickets £7.50 per adult, £4.50 per child. Very limited on-site parking. Pre-book online
The George Inn, Lower Brailes nr Banbury. Saturday 2nd November 2024. 6pm. Family ticket £22.38 (including booking fee)
